'This season lifts my heart with quiet hope.

Red and orange and yellow, green and blue;

Even purple joins the stunning view,

And though I know that winter’s on its way,

There’s something in the fall that lifts my soul,

Something weird and strange and rather gay.

In fall, I feel more me; I am more whole."

This is simply gorgeous, Esther. I'd never equated fall with gay, even metaphorically, but it's an irresistible idea. And it is certainly my favorite time of year - the last line is totally me/
