Nice article. And thanks — it’s happened to me twice. A great idea for a book, only to find some famous schmuck had beaten me to it. LOL
And if you go farther back than Forris-Harris, in Aristotelian analysis, there are only three basic plots: man against man (protagonist vs antagonist), man against the gods/nature, man against himself. Sexist, I know…but every story, be it a comedy, a tragedy, and regardless of the ending or genre, can be boiled down to one of these. Fun stuff 😃
