Many many years ago, we were visiting family. My sister-in-law received a phone call from the school telling her their 12 year old son was serving a detention for the school librarian, who'd come out as gay the year before. "Not my son," she said as she screeched out of the driveway. To her, and still to many this day, a gay man MUST be a sexual predator, by definition. Sigh... every time I start thinking we've come a long way, I see we have so very much farther to go.
