I remember reading “It” and the one set in the hotel — Jack Nicholson “Honey, I’m home”. I read “Carrie”, and “Cujo”( mostly skimmed, especially after the son died). I read “Christine” and now I’m skittish walking past empty, parked vehicles at night LOL.
I’ve enjoyed several of the movies even though they usually weren’t as good/rich an experience as the books. “Needful Things” was an okay movie. “Carrie” was decent — the acting was great, though the book was scarier. Loved “The Stand” excellent actors — Laura San Giacomo (?) Gary Sinese, Rob Lowe, Jamie Sheridan, Ruby Dee, Molly Ringwald, Miguel Ferrer, Kathy Bates…
Both “It” movies were quite good. First one had a great clown, stupid monster. Great acting, enough of the characters I liked survived, which pleased me, anyway. Second one from kids’ POV was way creepier. Kids were awesome. They did a bang-up job of the monsters and “they float down here” (awesome CGI work).
Hated the one with Jimmy Smitts (loved him and the rest of the cast, though) Was decent right up to where we find out the thing in the ground is an alien spacecraft — what a let-down — predictable ending, too, LOL, kill the hero as he saves the world.
